Sick. Didn't know they had non-HID IS's... especially on the 350!

yeah, just ask Brian231, his old fully loaded is250awd didn't even come with hids, he had to put them in himself which I heard was a complete pain.

you'd think that dumping in 35k+ into a car that hids would be standard??

HIDs were quick for my brother to install. it took about an hour to install both the HIDs. only because he specializes in HID installations.

nice! hows the visibility of 6000k? My friend has 5000k and he was complaining that it looks good but not best for visibility.

visibility is pretty good. is your friend's kit an aftermarket kit? it may also depend on the HID kit.

Look's nice, really great shots with the flurries. I'm surprised your IS didn't come with factory HID's, my GS is a 2002 and it came with them stock.

Bulbs affect the output too. Granted, the higher Kelvin, the lower lumens ("visibility" or "output") but it looks so much better IMO.

Many stock (OEM) HID's are 4300K -> Phillips 85122+ bulbs. Great output but a little yellow for some people. I wanna say Lexus and Infiniti use these but don't quote me on it.

If you'd like to see the 85122+ spec sheet, I can dig up the link.

yup most oem HIDS are 4300k. IMO, anything over 6000k-8000k is a loss in light output..it'll just glare and distract ppl on the road.

for some reason your stock hids or even if they are 6k hids, look real yellow to me. When we did your suspension and you fired them up and drove around, I noticed it.. kind of odd but I remember even you were making a comment about them. Did you ever get new/better bulbs or whatsup?
