Default 10K Fender Bender

Rear ended a pick up truck last week, Hit nothing but the hitch. No damage to his car but my front end is smashed. 1st estimate was 7k but they said it would be more since the hood was stuck, 2nd estimate was 10K after they got the hood opened. I can't believe the damage was that bad.

Anyways I was planning on trading it in once summer hits, Does anyone know how this is going to affect the value with Carfax? I have State Farm insurance and I'm wondering if they will cover any additional depreciation because of the accident.

ouch! sorry to see this and glad no one got hurt. from the pics it doesnt look to bad? wonder why its so much?? was there a lot of damage from the hitch pushing through?

I know its not that close to you but call Ken Boyce at Boyce Body Works in Batavia. They are a certified shop for Lexus and do great work. You can tell him Mike with the Red NSX sent you over. I just sent him someone my wife works with. She crashed her Porsche last night but it was worse then what yours is.

G/L with everything.

doesn't look bad at all from the pics.. it appears as if the bumper/grille were the only things to get damaged.. how bad is the damage under the hood?

The high cost could be because the radar cruise control unit might have been damaged??

That was my first thought as the "L" grill logo has the sensors and plastic cover.

That piece is supposed to be about 3K by itself, I should have it back in 3 weeks.
