I bought a blank, uncut key off Ebay for my 2002 GS300. I went to the Lexus dealer today and they refused to cut it for me. They won't cut any key that isn't bought from them, which they charge $250 for! Does anyone know of anywhere that will cut it for me? I live in Chicago.

had the key cut by Arlington Lexus for free, programming was $29 if I remember it correctly.

I actually bought my first used car there, but it wasn't a Lexus. Are you sure they will cut a program the key even though I already have a blank one and am not buying it from them? Bredeman Lexus refused to do it for me.

I got my RX300 key cut for $10 at AAA in Glenview on Waukegan Rd. and Chestnut Ave. Took 5 minutes and works great still.

All three of my keys have been cut for FREE at Woodfield Lexus.

How much did they charge to program it though? I called Arlington Lexus in Palatine and he told me he would cut the key for free but charge $60 to program it. I just want it for a backup key incase I lose mine.

I believe you can program it yourself as long as you have one other master key that is still functional. Check the forums for instructions.
