Need recommendation for independent lexus repair shop
Just moved to the NW burbs and need an independent lexus repair shop recommendation. Just to set expectations:
1st Tier: Lexus dealer
2nd Tier: Independent shop staffed w/ Lexus certified techs that do nothing but lexus (Kind of like Davenport Motors in Dallas, TX - http://www.davenportmotorco.com/)
3rd Tier: I have a friend that does something on the side
I'm looking for2nd Tier that is trusted w/ a good rep. and plan on getting all maint done there for a 2000 GS.
Check engine like just came on so need something quick...
Thanks!!

Chris (moderator) recommended for me to see Ed Vale at Woodfield Lexus.
Great guy, very cool people there.
I have a ASE mechanic as a brother, he does things on the side.
I think Dimitry (97-SC300) is a Serv. Writer for Bredemann Lexus.
Plus his father is connected through the High-End automotive world.
I'm sure he knows a few good people.
You always have Sound Performance in Bloomingdale.

I have been getting all my work done at Potenzo's Auto Repair. (balljoints, brakes, master cylinder replacement, alternator, ps/pump, etc) I am taking it in next week for my timing belt service. They also didn't have any problem with me bringing in my own parts and will install performance items too.
They specialize in Lexus / Toyota. The owner (Ron Potenzo) used to be a master tech at McGrath. I always seem to try and pick his brain in regards to my Lexus because he always knows the answer. Plus since I live pretty far away.. he lets me drop off and pick up my car at his house!
The number to his shop is (708)687-9000
it's located at:
Potenzo's Auto Repair
15324 South Cicero St.
Oak Forest, IL

I'm going to call Potenzo's tomorrow to ask if they install Daizen control arm bushings and can replace ball joints for the GS 400. They sound like a reputable place.
FYI, here are the control arm bushings I'm talking about.

In case that doesn't work out, has anyone in Chicagoland found a good, reasonably-priced independent shop that can install control arm bushings? I want to get this done in the next two weeks and hopefully pay less than $600 in labor for the job.
Thanks for your help.
