Just curious. The GS300 is my first car. The sad thing about that is that I will never own a car from any manufacturer other than Lexus.
What cars did you guys own before you finally got it right and got a Lexus?

-'92 Explorer Sport was the first
-'93 Explorer Eddie B was second
-'99 Yukon was next - it was a lemon
so it was replaced with the RX

BMW, Mercedes, and Audi to name 3 make great cars and things change all the time. Maybe one day you'll want a Porsche.

Big steps...
Unlike some of you, my beginnings are very humble -- first car was a 1972 Chrysler Newport that I purchased when I was 16 for $400. It was basically a big land yacht that everybody laughed at.
My first "real" car was a 1991 Chevy Cavalier (if you can call it a real car). I bought it just out of college and it was basic transportation. Nothing fancy there...
Then I got married and we bought a 1992 Saturn SL. Talk about *basic*! This, however, was the most reliable and trustworthy little car we owned. We had to buy it because her Montero was on its death bed.
Next car was a 1995 Saturn SC2. It was decked out with all the power and performance options. Fun car. Handled excellent.
When the Saturn SL turned 95K miles, we sold it for a 1995 Infiniti G20T (w/5 spd). Another very fun car to drive. Just not the most reliable...
Now I own a 1999 Chevy Tahoe LT 4x4 and a 2000 Lexus GS300. I also have a 1978 International Scout II for my desert fun truck -- no top, lift kit, custom bumpers and seats, lots of fun!
Thx...Doug
