Post The Ultimate Garage - you gotta see this!

A friend of mine told me about this yesterday. I didn't believe it until seeing the pics. Some guy actually has an underground garage with a lift that takes the car down!!! It's like his own batcave .

Here's the link: http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=351741&page=4

Just a couple of pics from the page, since it takes forever to load pages on cardomain.com.....

The entry:

That's like the one I saw on some show a few years back, it was in the UK, a garage under the lawn, that rose up so you can get into your car and store it where no one can find it!

That's pretty cool. He turned his basement into a shop.

That is the coolest garage man. The only thing I have ever seen close to being that cool in a garage was when I pulled into this parking garage in Boston and they told me to leave the keys and step out. I did, then the car was lifted on this elevator type lift and brought to be parked upstairs, that was cool.

That's an awesome setup!! Thanks for the link! A shop like that has been on my list of things to do "if I become very wealthy" for a long time. Best use of a basement I've ever seen. Very unlikely anyone will steal any of his cars. I just hope he has a back-up generator for his lift, because if he doesn't, when the power goes out, he's not going anywhere.

Very nice use of space. Too bad most new homes (at least out here in CA) have concrete slab foundations, so no basement to convert.

I was actually expecting a cool garage with lots of nice cars. I guess I was expecting too much when I saw the title of "Ultimate garage."
