That's impressive but it falls off and other cars will continue to pull. But that may not be a bad thing for quick pulls I guess.

I really thought it wasn't possible to go under 2.5 secs to 60, some sport bikes can in the mid to high 2's but 2.28 for a car IMO is Defying the laws of physics..

Impressive numbers. But for the every-day Tesla driver, just what exactly does this create? Problems. Stopped at a light in a suburban city. Mothers and children around in SUV's. Light turns green, driver punches it. Car sneaks up on other cars with no sound at all. People are startled. People are pissed. "There goes another a-hole in a Tesla." Happens every day. Is this good for society? Not in my opinion. This acceleration madness has to end.

Oh please....Plenty of fast cars out there that are silent but deadly......LOL, would you like it better if they put fake loud V8 sounds?

It would be interesting to see the 0-60mph times charted over a period of say 10 runs.

Without a "cool down" period. IMHO, the acceleration is truly astounding, however it is a heavy pig, and a one trick pony. Funny people say the Hellcat is a heavy pig yet it is a lightweight compared to the Tesla and definitely would destroy it on a road course and/or on a drag strip where you are hot lapping the runs.

great times, but I wonder how much current it draws for it to go that fast possibly well beyond the manufacturers nominal discharge rate, but hey, it was only for 2.28 seconds

Pretty neat stuff, but as was stated, eventually, even my 4 cyl Sonoma with 135K on it would be quicker...

I will never complain about more power and better acceleration, but at this point I think Tesla would be much better off using their development dollars to improve the interior and features. In my opinion, the interiors are less impressive than what they could/should be.

The excessive power and unequal speeds compared to other drivers was the main point, not the silent movement.

ummm you know those numbers are obtained ONLY in full-on Ludicrous Easter-egg mode mode right?...do you think a soccer mom will put it in ludicrous mode? Or are you complaining because it's just too fast for ANYONE to drive??

So GT-R is OK then or not? C7?
