Try again, folks. A guy flexing his biceps and gyrating around like Madonna isn't going to sell a car.
Of course, I admit I'm probably not part of the target-base for LC marketing anyway, so perhaps (?) my opinion is not very important.

Production is top notch no doubt but something went wrong down the road. They have captured the motion and emotion of the dancer instead of the car and they put the car in supporting role to the dancer. After watching this I want to hire the guy, not buy the car.

A commercial's main goal is whether or not it will be memorable.
I thought the dancing was pretty cool, could've been better and the LC looked sexy. Nothing really wrong with it, I will remember this commercial and Apple recently released their major AirPods commercial featuring the same dancer.

The main question, though, is will dancing like that sell cars? As far as "cool" is concerned, Madonna, for example, even now, can still get up on a stage and gyrate around like a woman less than half her age, but how many cars is that going to actually push out the door? You mentioned Apple. Yes, they may have hired the same guy, but Apple's basic reputation in the marketplace (a good one, of course) was made years ago....long before this guy probably was in the dancing business.

This^^^ It left me wanting to see more of the car since the commercial seemed to focus on the dancer. IMHO it was a horrible commercial. I would imagine the target audience of this vehicle will never be dancing much at all nevermind like that. How about showing the car for its elegance and looks. I think Lexus is way out of whack. They need to hire more people to handle marketing from whatever country they are focusing on, and hire more consultants who will give them an honest opinion.

Yeah that was pretty wack, a desperate attempt to appeal to the youth market. I guess that commercial might sell a few $299 a month base model IS200t leases by association, but anybody who is considering buying the LC500 is not going to get that commercial IMO. When the dancing and music upstages the car, you might have a problem with the message

I thought it was a pretty unique commercial. There are already folks that plan to buy this car regardless, Superbowl is one of the most watched events this commercial will be remembered and maybe that's all they want at this point. Maybe it will sway a few folks to look more into the car maybe it won't.

With the costs of production and buying the ad time, I'm sure the Lexus division and ad agency have given this a lot of thought and research before the approvals were given and money spent. They have clear goals as to what they want the ad to accomplish and who it will appeal to. How successful it will be remains to be seen.
