The current Camry V6 does quite well in real world fuel economy. With the updated engine & 8 AT i expect real world fuel economy to match or be better than turbo 4 offerings from the competition and provide better performance.

Toyota seems to have gone all out with the 8 gen Camry. I am intrigued to see the specifications of the new base and hybrid engines. Thanks to very high thermal efficiency the base 2.5 L 4 cyl engine could see a vast improvement in performance without using turbocharging.
Its probably the exact same V6 as in the new Highlander at 295hp. The 4cylinder will probably be around 195hp. Toyota likes to keep a certain HP distance between engines, which happens to be around 100hp.

This is probably the nicest looking Camry in recent years. Toyota has done a great job!

the "s-curve" down the center stack is weird and seems to waste a lot of space.

overall seems an improvement, but very busy and trying hard. the 'sports' grill is a spindle... thought that was for lexus.

You never know!

What puzzles me is the Camry has a panoramic roof option and the GS doesn't.

Big improvement, I'd still rather have a Mazda 6.

I wonder what the Hybrid is going to look like.

I would love to see it get some of the body love the non-hybrid gets, but sadly if history is any indicator, it will be a premium price with the base model look

GS was engineered/designed well before 2013 whereas this is the latest/greatest platform. I would fully expect the next gen platforms to incorporate panoramic options.

True it's much more readily available on MY16+ RX's and ES's. the rest of the line should see a panoramic option soon

They nailed everything, except the front end. That looks horrible. Have to differentiate from Lexus (thankfully), but wow.

Ditto. The front looks like an Avalon (not a compliment), but the rest of the car is quite nice. The Mazda 6 looks great all around. At least Toyota is getting in the game.
