Not too shabby! This car should serve you well and last the test of time.

My OCD wants to jump into the screen and wipe that rim clean! =O

and that, for many, is what luxury is about. it's not about 0-60, track times, etc. it's about a car that makes life more pleasant, bearable, or even joyful. it's about making the day in, day out routines acceptable or even something to look forward to. it's about being coddled, pampered, taken care of, allowing us to be LESS involved in the world around us, in a peaceful, unruffled environment.

you have bought a world class luxury car. congratulations!!!

that's what made the fabulous LS so successful as well, and hopefully the new LS will be that way, with a modern platform and features.

Very nice. I'm also a sucker for black on luxury sedans. The only exception would be metallic white with black wheels because black paint w/ black wheels doesn't sit well with me.

I must ask, what material is the center of the steering wheel made of? Doesn't appear to be leather.

Whatever tire dressing they used for detailing is horrible. The rims are actually grayish in color so it should hide dirt fairly well

Nope, it is not leather but the injection molded plastic. A lot of MB cars share the same wheel design and airbag cover. I think someone in the C class forum was able to buy the air bag cover from an S class which is stitched and replace it on their car.

That's what I guessed. Hopefully it's soft touch though right?

Yep. It's not cheap feeling. They cheaped out on plastics in smart areas thankfully. Finally learned to use the Audi playbook.

i cant find cheap plastic anywhere except the rear vent cover on the center armrest. Oh, Ill edit this post to include the steering column housing, the rear view mirror, and a little bit of the sunroof/sunglass holder area.

As for interior appointments, I think the E is on par with the S, and outshines the S in many areas, such as the new safety features and even the dual screens being one sheet of glass instead of separated units in the S. However, I don't know why MBUSA did not include a stitched dash on the sport models. That is the only missing component
Beautiful car, and that interior lighting is wild! I'm with you o the 4 cylinder engines. I never thought I would step down from a V6 until I drove the '17 Audi A4. It is smooth, quick and quiet with absolutely no harshness. I can live with that... and 24 mpg.

So how many colors or colors combo you can choose for the ambient light?

There are 64 different colors for ambient lighting, but the blue that is pictured looks the best.
