Saw it this past Saturday. I thought it was just ok, I thought some of the sequences were a bit forced, like most of the scenes inside the tent. And honestly, I didnt care for those 3 cars. I mean yeah its fast, ok moving on. I'm actually looking forward to ep2 to see them make a fool out of themselves at the training camp.

No old ones in this episode, this one was spent on the BMW M2 and the McLaren, Porsche and LaFerrari comparison.
Looking at the montage at the top of the upcoming season it'll be a mixture of both just like TG.
Seeing that the format is so close to TG, TG is going to be really tired now lol.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. She's not a car person either as I've said before but she was in her laptop googling the LaFerrari, which was awesome.

My girlfriend who is indifferent to cars enjoyed it as well. Looks like they have a hit!

Watched the second one, I agree that the bit with the 3 of them was drawn out, and they didn't seem as comfortable in the studio (makes sense since that was the first one they filmed).
The episode reminded me of the fairly recent episdode of Top Gear where they had hot hatches, most of that segment was great but then they went to this abandoned town and they pretended to chase each other as the police and it was forced and scripted and went on way too long.

only watched half the first one so far... besides some great filming / cinematography, i'm not impressed. maybe i'm just over these old guys acting like 15 yr olds.

I found the last episode to be incredible. It was a throwback to what I fell in love with on the show. Very well done. And them killing a 'star' is actually better than them interviewing em, imo. Anyone else notice clarkson wearing a heal in the Car Conversation silhouette? Hahahaha
