What would you buy as a cheaper alternative to a used 2013/2014 GS 350?
What would you buy as a cheaper alternative to the GS 350 as a daily driver? I drive 2 hours a day, 50 miles a day in traffic. Used, around 20k.

G80 for sure if you like/want rwd/awd. The all-new Cadenza should be released soon which is a pretty substantial feeling vehicle, but FWD only. If you wanted better fuel economy, potentially the ES300h.

If I wanted to stay with Lexus, I would probably get an ES. I'd consider both the 350 and 300h.

Are you talking brand new or used?
If new I would say genesis G80 is probably the closest while being less expensive. If you don't mind fwd I would say a V6 Honda Accord sedan, It is about as quick as a GS350 and has a similar look. A new Maxima is about the same size and quick though I don't know about the CVT. Lexus ES or IS350 are the only less expensive alternatives when it comes to Toyota/Lexus. RLX I think can be had a little cheaper then a GS350, but not much if you don't mind fwd.
For used, a Infiniti G70 is probably the closest while being less expensive when it comes to RWD, luxury, reliability. Used European sedans can be had cheaper then a new GS350 but there is a risk with reliability.

Probably should ask how much cheaper you are looking to go. And by cheaper, do you mean on gas or on sale price as well?

I was thinking about a used, but it's interesting to hear about the G80 for new.
I'm considering buying a used 2013 GS 350 for 25k-30k, but was curious to what alternatives would be for around 20k.

I thought you might have meant a new GS350 so I said used Q70 would be cheaper. You might be able to get a earlier LS460 with decent mileage for less then 25K, I may look into that because I was not really impressed with the V6 in the new GS350 I drove. You won't be able to get a new G80 for anywhere near 25-30K.

Thanks, guys. For used around 20k, I guess I'll have to look into:
2013-2014 ES350/ES300h
2007-2008 LS460
Any other suggestions? Should I consider the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, Kia Cadenza, Hyundai Azera/Genesis, or any Cadillac offerings?

I would check out a 4th gen TL, they are really good cars, much sportier then a ES or LS, they toned down the beak during the MMC but there are plenty of aftermarket grills if you don't like it.
