Default Ghetto Fabulous Mods

I carbon Fiber wrapped my door handles a few weeks ago and I like it. It was cheap and easy but looks rich,,, They have been on for about a month and are not peeling off so I figured I would share them.

I understand ghetto tricks like this are often frowned upon,,, If you have no ghetto tricks on your ride you probably wont start now (like judicious use of a sharpie on black trim),,, but otherwise its fairly harmless,,, And I wondered if there were other Ghetto Fabulous tricks out there that someone might want to share

I agree that the carbon-fiber trim looks nice, and you did a good job if not quite perfect, but why use the term "Ghetto Mod"? I don't see any connection between that kind of trim and a real ghetto.

I was just trying to be humorous about using a film to replicate carbon fiber pieces... looks like I cant quit my day job to become comedian... My bad... Thanks for the feedback though... I could probably trim them a little better,, next time I wont use a chainsaw...

I tend to think of ghetto mods as stuff you do to your car that actually makes it worse. Things like cutting fenderwells, jacking suspension up, etc to fit stupid 24", 28" 30" rims etc. Or doing a really bad hack job stereo install(usually on old cars where they had to hack the dash up, then did a **** poor job on the wiring to where other stuff doesn't work, lets the battery drain, etc), putting huge subs in your trunk that rattles every part of the car when you turn it up. Or painting your car metallic lime green and doing a crappy job by bondoing over rust, not sanding it right to where the paint looks wavy, etc Those are ghetto mods IMO.

So Dodge is guilty of Ghetto paint jobs? A factory production "Sub-Lime" color for the Challenger was available till just recently.....a similiar retro-color was used back in 1970/71.

(a similar color BTW, is available on newer Ford Fiestas and certain Honda Civics)

My Latest Ghetto Fab,,,
I hate all the emblems on the back and only wanted the "L" emblem so I removed the LS430 and Lexus emblems from the trunk lid .... I figure if somebody doesn't know its a LS430 they probably don't care.. .but they had the pin holes in the lid...

So I caulked the holes and applied some touch up paint to seal them up,,, at some point I am going to have to take it the Body Shop for a couple of dings and I will have them plug the holes properly and then repaint... That's what I call Ghetto Fabulous....
