Just curious if anybody actually puts miles on their cars, or if they are lease slaves, or trade them in before they massively depreciate.
Just curious, because my family owns a 2000 Toyota Avalon with 250k miles on it. It went from Nashville to Destin Florida without a hitch back in October 2015, that was about 1000 miles. I enjoyed driving it, on the original shocks, ball joints, etc, it is a bit floaty, but tracks like an arrow at 80mph. That car just last week went from Nashville to Ashville and back, 700 miles round trip.
My current daily driver is a 2004 Toyota Tacoma, 174k miles, 2wd, reg cab, 2.4 liter 4 cylinder, 5 speed, no options. It rides a bit stiff, but I put 10 concrete bricks(about 150-200lbs) in the bed to get it to ride right. Its my daily driver, it still drives like a new truck, looks like a new truck except for those rock chips and a few scratches on the bed.
Same thing with my 1992 Lexus SC300/5 speed. Original suspension, 94k miles, original drivetrain, origional interior, hell I'd trust this car on a trip to California and back. Only thing is the fuel economy SUCKS, premium gas, it gets 17-18 in town, 22-23 on the highway.
