Spanish mag put up a video with real life vehicle. They mix in official video at some points, but it is easy to recognize which is which because they shot theirs with phone camera :-)

I like it, but the exterior looks like Toyota's version of the Nissan Juke (done better, granted). The interior is pretty cool. The rear visibility looks to be really limited with the little oblong window.

this is like an lifestyle raised coupe profile like vehicle... Size wise, more like Tucson or Tiguan, one class higher than Juke.

These smaller SUVs have become all the rage in the Europe, hence the differentiating looks.

Interior is basically how future Toyota's interior will look.

This is first time that their Euro ED2 team designed complete interior and it shows. If we compare it to Prius, which is similar price vehicle and same platform and powertrain, not only it is higher quality (Prius G4 has good quality interior), better designed and more cohesive, they also took care of the little usability details that we Europeans complained a lot for a long time.

For instance:
- Seat heaters - look at Prius or Rav4. Not only those switches are from 90's, they are placed below the shifter so there is little chance you will find them easily. In C-HR it is nice modern switch on HVAC.

- Shifter. On many Toyota and Lexus vehicles, we have large shifter with old design sticking out as a sore thumb. Here we have short and sporty/expensive looking shifter.

- Easy spot for your cellphone above the shifter, with USB port close to it. In many cars they made it very hard to use anything but very small usb stick.

- Attention to detail - Rav4 has leather on the dash but everywhere else hard plastics. This has not only leather on dash, but attention to detail everywhere. Seats have great design, doors have great design, there is a front tweeter crazy design that should be on Lexus vehicles, etc, etc... they even have similar diamond patters on interior roof!

Ever since Toyoda took rain, they are doing a lot of work to make their interiors more coherently designed (for instance every light being same color) but this is taking things to another level. It is also seen on Lexus side, but Lexus did not have such large interior issues like Toyota side.

All new platfrom brings all new interior design for Toyota.

Kind of exciting how will Lexus interiors end up looking with new platform.

Note the Nissan Juke failed here in America. Yet this new Toyota makes the Honda HRV look like a nerdmobile.

Some real life pics of exterior as well, 3 different colors and maybe 2 of them are mid-spec while hybrid is top spec, with different wheels. Supposedly interior difference in mid spec and high spec is full vs partial leather - i personally like the design of partial leather a lot, with brown/silver touches.

Black roof might be option on some colors or on all colors. Not sure. So far this silver with black roof is best option to me but lets see.

well for Europeans, remember this is Auris/Golf sized... supposedly you can sit behind yourself if you are 1.93cm, which is quite big... seating position/angle in the rear isnt the best but there is enough knee room and head room. It is really meant for young families with children... Rav4 is better bet for traditional space-needed suv.

Main version of this vehicle - hybrid one, wont even have AWD. So probably 85%-90% of these in Europe will be FWD.

It is little bit claustrophobic in the back, but there is more space than in my Lexus IS.

and i could never get used to the 'tower of screen'. i know mb, etc are doing stuck on screens on some models but porsche shows how it should be done:

Most likely the cost savings from the new platform allows Toyota to start putting better interiors into their cars. My next car might be a Toyota when my GS lease ends, if new products have this kind of nice interior.

The nav screen is horrible and it seems to draw attention to the emergency flasher button to boot. Just terrible. The rest of the interior is quite nice. A shame. I just don't understand the fascination that interior designers have with the tablet sticking up out of the dash. But like the exterior designers with the "floating roof" c-pillar, as seen here, they appear to be content copying each other (wouldn't want to be "wrong").

I more than think that the C-HR will start around C$24k or even as low as C$21k, after looking at the Nissan Juke, Mazda CX3, Honda HRV Mitsubishi RVR and Subaru XV.

I am looking forward to how it competes against the Juke, XV and others.

I also think if Lexus does come out with something to be classed below the NX, it could possibly be a reworked C-HR.
