He's only been driving this one since 1992. It's just a replica of the original which is in storage.

Did not know that. That might explain why they were not hurt and why the car held up so well during that crash.

As for where they were filming, it looked like a big empty parking lot and they hit a bump or hole in the road. I'm suprised they weren't on a drag strip filming, as that's about the only safe(relatively) place to operate that car. With the way the suspension is modified, it isn't meant to turn or hit a bump.

Must be. I think that is probably something that should be talked about much much more. What he did potentially saved himself yet seems to be a little known thing.
