Sat in a new MB E Class today, I was underwhelmed

I'm going through this dilemma right now in fact.
Other than my very first car, I've always bought new. We tend to keep our cars for a while (~7+ yrs or so) but lately I've been considering used.
Some things that have made me consider this?
1) I commute a fair distance and would put about 18k mi/yr on any vehicle that I buy, so it's going to rack them up pretty quickly, and be out of new car warranty well before the years.
2) I can get a vehicle that I couldn't attain new ($$$) just 1-2 years old and a major part of the depreciation/value of the car has already hit someone else, so I can get into a $100k car for say..~$60-70k
3) There are quite a few of said cars out in the market, but anything I'm considering must have a factory warranty remaining, and if certified can even be longer warranty. I simply won't consider a used car that's out of factory warranty.
4) The mileage has to be low... less than 20k miles, ideally less than 10k. Get up into the 25 to 30 range and it doesn't make sense to me.
I get it...I like the feeling of a new car too..but if all I'm going to do is put the miles on it..seems like the "slightly used" market might be where I go.
FWIW..one of the vehicles I've got my eye on is a '14 MB E63 that has 16k on the clock..way out of my normal purchasing power new..but attainable in the used market.

Are we still talking about the new E? 
When I saw the pictures on their site, I pretty much decided. Wife always wants the E but I didn't for one reason or another. I think this one looks nice. Need to check it out in person. MB leather has always been stiff for my feel though. Even the GS' feels stiff now.
