Man that dude is stuck in 2002 lol.

Also it seems like every "EK"(1995-2000) Civic in my neck of the woods has been ran into a ditch or stolen and chopped up for parts. The few left on the road are pretty ragged out with all kinds of random body damage.

Drum brakes are actually better then discs for some functions......such as serving as the rear emergency brake, where they usually don't need as much effort pulling up on the lever as discs. They also don't warp, or go out-of-round, as much as disc-rotors do. The chief advantages of discs are better water-resistance in wet conditions, better fade-resistance, and the fact that they are inherently self-adjusting and don't need extra self-adjusting mechanisms.

I think I understand your point. This guy apparently wanted his cake and eat it, too....the advantages of drums with (more or less) the look and image of high-performance Brembos.

The only advantage a drum might have is a better boat anchor. Drum brakes suck, everything about them.

They are cheaper to service, rear drum brakes RARELY need new shoes before 100k miles. Also there is a reason big semi trucks use drum instead of disc brakes, in that application they work better.

Attention seekers. There is a phase...mainly high school teenagers. Sadly, it seems to come back during midlife

They sell a thin cover for your drum brakes to make it look like disc brakes. I wonder if that is what is here or if they just used paint on the drum.

I think this is what it is.
Amazon.com: Aumo-mate 2pcs Universal Auto Car Wheel Disc Brake Racing Cover (Silver): Automotive Amazon.com: Aumo-mate 2pcs Universal Auto Car Wheel Disc Brake Racing Cover (Silver): Automotive
. It is really not attractive in my opinion either. I've seen silver ones on rat rods at mecum auto auctions.
