Like MT said back when they pitted GT-R against old Z/28. "GM engineers don't care if Camaro steps on its bigger brother, it's Corvette's problem, not GM." This will motivate Corvette and Camaro engineering teams to get better and creative each generation.

Rumor has it the next Corvette (C8) could be mid-engine. If so that would help differentiate the two even more.

That's like at least 6 years from now. I hope they do it. GM needs to show VW (Porsche) who's boss here.

Camaro will remain FR layout because muscle car.

The Camaro is dated, old-school, and childish. The BMW is modern, classy, and refined. I don't think the two can be compared based on horsepower alone.

I didn't like the look/feel of the 5th gen Camaro, and I don't like the look/feel of this new 6th gen either, since its basically a tweaked version of the same thing. Visibility/driving position sucks in both cars IMO.

That being said, it does throw up some incredible performance numbers and weighs less than the 5th gen. I don't know how it drives, but if Motortrend says it drives better than BMW's "best driver's car" then I am simply astounded!!! Either BMW has fallen so far off the mark, or the Camaro is that damn good. Honestly I think its a combo of both. I've heard a bunch of negative reviews of the current M3/M4, and nothing but praise for the 6th gen Camaro.

Haven't looked deep but seems you can get most if not all corvette performance goodies on this camaro including magnetic ride control
