Obviously this is CT based, or C-HR based i guess... you can see it from powertrains, and 250h sounds good too.

Perhaps it could be a Venza style replacement. Someone on another forum said a 7 seater, but I doubt that.

from the engines, we see that this is smaller than NX. Interesting that it has much needed 250h, much better for Lexus than 1.8 from Prius.

Smaller than NX? What the hell will that thing be, a mini / fiat 500 fighter?

Probably some sort of premium small hatchback/wagon for the European market. Think Audi A3 Avant.

Let's see, websites posted Lexus' trademarking the NX around November 2012 and went on sale starting late 2014. So assuming the UX is on a similar timeline: the UX will be out around the beginning of 2018. Might be looking to get into one if it could steal me away from the next generation CX-5.

Well the NX is 182" long... The Tiguan for example, is 173" I believe. So the NX may look small, but there are tinier SUV/CUV's killing it in the marketplace. Hence why Honda launched the HR-V, and Buick has that grotesque Encore lol

The NX is the exact same length as the Nissan Rogue, which looks much larger. It's the darn sloping roof line at that back that makes it look more "sporty" than it really is

heh, it will be true C segment SUV. Like Q3 or GLA.

There is at least one step below, like Renegade.

Toyota C-HR will get revealed next Tuesday... it should tell us a bit about this UX even if this time they are truly differentiating them with completely separate engines, and likey UX might end up being the normal one vs C-HR crazy.

Let's not forget that the BMW X1 is the same size as the Mini Countryman...

Yup gotta get with the times. Just about everybody has a small LCUV now.. the GLA, Q3, X1, QX30, etc. Lexus needs it if it's to gain grounds outside the US.

Too bad the "CX" name is already used by Mazda or it would be the most logical name for this jacked up CT (which should also use the same new platform when it gets redesigned).

Since the 200h is based on the 1.8L engine and the 300h is based on the 2.5L engine, I do fully expect the 250h to be based on the 2.0L engine, likely a down-tuned version of the one used in the Camry 2.0 available in Asian markets.

As for the expected total system output, it'll almost certainly be somewhere between the Prius' 121hp and the NX300h's 194hp.
