+1 for costco house brand on the economic route. they have a pretty good prorate if the battery goes out early.

personally, i go with bosch platinum. best run i've had was about 8 years on one. dont hold me to it though..

Over the last 6 years I've been driving new cars under warranty, but when I had older cars and was replacing batteries I had good luck with Die Hard batteries.

The OEM Panasonic batteries that come installed in a Lexus are great batteries, very long lasting. However...as someone else said in this thread when the dealer replaces one they do not use that Panasonic battery, they're not available through the dealer. The batteries the dealers use have a"Lexus" sticker, but I purchased an AutoCraft battery from Advance Auto Parts to replace one on my 2003 ES that had been a dealer replacement a few years prior and to my surprise, it was exactly the same battery it just said "AutoCraft" instead of "LEXUS"...

Batteries are often advertised by Cranking Amps (the amount of electrical power available to turn the starter motor over). The best indicator, though, is with COLD Cranking Amps....the amount that is available at 32 degrees (0 Celsius). That is not always the same as what is available at warmer temperatures, and, in cold weather, engines are harder to turn over and batteries typically have less power. Many battery failures happen at temperatures below freezing, when they are under the most stress. AAA jump-starters often have their heaviest volume on the coldest mornings.
