Default Changing fonts on highway signs

Evidently not only is it more readable, but it also reduces travel distances

Ah, that decreasing distance may be proof of a shrinking universe. The big crunch is upon us.

Mile marker is different on the two signs (65 vs 64) so they are a mile different

Lol, I saw that right away. I guess people really don't pay attention to road signs.

Yeah, that was my first thought, too, seeing the different scenery next to the two signs.

They're not going out and replacing every single sign right now. Just whenever they do come up for replacement, they'll utilize the updated font parameters.

Yeah this is going to be done over a long period of time, as signs get replaced and get old they
'll be replaced with the new fonts. I do find the new fonts more readable...

Having the distances all shorter helps too

EDIT- I actually read the article. Pretty funny lol, they've about faced and gone back to the old font!
