Bought Porsche 2015 S Boxster

14k off msrp, very nice
I always wonder what sort of prices Porsches really sell for new, if the sticker price was as overinflated as I though. I know you can get downright retarded with the option list and put $50,000 worth of options on a $75,000 Boxter.

Well, the base price for Boxster S is 63K. Add Auto gear and other options it quickly builds up to 75 to 80K. It is very hard to negotiate with Porsche dealers. They simply don't care. They are not volume sellers like Lexus.
I think I got good deal because 1) It is winter and people were not buying convertibles 2) It is a 2015 model 3) I am little assertive and always willing to walk away from any deal (not a emotional buyer and can wait anytime)
Generally based on my experience, 5 to 7% is maximum they will accept.

The best deals I have seen on new ones have been because either the car has racked up a few miles from test drives or the car was put in-service prior to the sale (warranty starts ticking from the day it's put into service).

The local Mercedes dealer has a low mileage (under 1200 miles) eight month old preowned 2015 Boxster S that had an MSRP of around $87K. It has been sitting on their lot for 92 days. They started at a price of $77K, and after two price drops are down to $68K. Car-fax is clean, for whatever that is worth. The car is well equipped with PDK, sport-chrono, Bose audio, heated seats, etc. I drove it, and the salesman let me believe they still had room in their price. The issue I see is the color. It is Agate Grey Metallic, a dark gray that does not look appropriate on a Boxster, to my eye. The leather interior is red, and it does look good. If the exterior were red or white, I might consider it. It is more fun to drive than the RC-F, but not $15K worth, comparing MSRP to MSRP. YMMV.

Gray looks great, I was looking at gray, but could not get a new one
The issue is NOT color, but lease specials from Porsche. Porsche has stopped lease deals on 2015. So how many buyers are there who buy it outright instead of leasing?
I think you are/will get a great deal. Negotiate few hundred more dollars if possible and seal the deal. Make sure you have the 6 year CPO warranty.
