Pole Position
From this angle, the passenger side looks like the RCF with LFA headlights, a hint of the FRX even.

Rumors suggest January 2017, though sometime in the first quarter is a safe bet.

Lexus Test Driver
Imagine if this was the next Supra. When you strip it all down, it could have easily been such a car. I'm glad Lexus got it. The over-engineered LFA did not stick around long enough to keep a raging fire going for the brand. This will be the new fire.
Except for the flowery upgraded rims and out of balance double exhaust tip shapes, it's a winning design. This will be one of those models Lexus does right and gets remembered for. The obnoxious predator mouth works on swoopy rooflines and greenhouses like this. Works less so on conservative ES/GS350 bodies. I would keep the two design themes separate if it were my company.
Question, where is the trip computer display? Doesn't look like there's much space below the digital speedo.

Wow, Monday A.M. On The 605 "AT SPEED!!!!"
Well, I cannot possibly think of a more appropriate test track to run this car than the 605 on Monday morning.
I've been on the 605 on Monday mornings, and the only things that get tested there are your shift arm, your right foot on the brake pedal, and how hot you get the linings before you start smelling 'em.
The caption says "At Speed" and shows the Lex just smoking by some large truck.
Hope to see the test piloto's report when he gets it written. Ralph L. Seifer, Long Beach, California

No, because the top gears are purely fuel economy gears. Top speed will be achieved in a lower gear. A separate issue is whether gearing is even optimized for top possible speed (in any gear).
