Absolutely stunning! Can't wait to check one out in person.
Although I wish Lexus would debut the F model BEFORE the regular model. Bring the top model first... So people base their initial reactions on that. Then they can release the other models ... Either alongside or at a later date. I believe other mfgs have started to do it that way. Right now it seems all people can say is "It's just an upgraded RCF..." , which it's clearly not.

turbos are fun but then there's the lag and the increased complexity and the altered sound. i say supercharge it if anything. no loss of response, instantaneous torque at any rpm, and you get the supercharger whine. you haven't even driven it so i say save your criticisms for after that's happened. that being said i'm about to contradict myself and say that 10 gears is too many.

Alright, got some better pics today, 29 of them including the interior. They can be seen here: http://www.beyond.ca/2018-lexus-lc50...nal/54970.html
And my original article on the LC500 here: http://www.beyond.ca/2018-lexus-lc50...ing/54817.html

definitely a sexy car, but is it me or is the front of the car huge?
the long front overhang, the relatively high hood line going up to the a pillar with the lower window bottom looks a bit off. assume the hood had to be high and overhang long enough to a) fit the v8 and b) give enough suspension travel. perhaps with a ttv6 it could have been more compact.
also, the handle/panel on the tunnel for the passenger to hold onto... a bit unusual!
finally, i'm glad the shifter does NOT have a leather boot to look shabby and collect dust, but maybe the shifter could have been even smaller...
what's great is that it seems lexus has brought a lot of the LFA dna to a car more people can afford.

Motortrend info is clearly wrong. Car is going to weight 1800kg, just like RC-F, hence same performance as RC-F, which is 4.4s 0-60. Andrew English confirmed it in his review thats all over English media and Lexus UK website.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/lexus/lexus-lc-review/
Andrew was one of the journalists that tested LC and gave input during its development. His article is a good rood, as is Lexus UK version of it:
http://blog.lexus.co.uk/lexus-lc-500...the-prototype/
Interesting point was that lightweight version of the vehicle was not tested yet by journalist, that will come in February. That prototype in February will have carbon fibre parts, previous ones did not. Also last prototype had rear wheel steering, I dont think Lexus has announced this yet, but the car will have optional RWS, optional carbon firbe roof, optional 21" forged wheels, optional ML, optional sport seats..

Mototrend had been invited by Lexus early on, to start documenting the progress of the prototype / mules back in December 2014 here in Southern California
This too is a great article to read up, if you haven't yet http://www.motortrend.com/news/2018-...t-look-review/
So far the latest iteration stage 4 prototype weight is all we know..
There will be one more stage 5 prototype built for fine tunning before the final iteration is slated for production version..
But yes the weight hopefuly can be lighter and also depending on options & equipment it can be heavier..
( We learned this early on with the LFA )
Hope this helps...

Just thinking, it takes about maybe 600lb pounds more in metal and 15 years (from LFA's first inception til now) to surpass the structural stiffness of the LFA. Assuming the other 400lbs went into the engine and transmission and all that luxury stuff. Wonder how much better and lighter and stronger and maybe even cheaper this thing would be if it was made of CF with all the lessons learned from the LFA.
