They had the grill way back then.
Funny thing, I couldn't remember their concept name. I had to google "hideous acura concept" and found it!

Not bad for Acura.
The different people can reach the different heights. We shouldn't expect the same level performance for all.

Designed in the Acura Design studio in California, the Acura Precision Concept expresses Acura's Precision Crafted Performance DNA and points toward a bold future of Acura design to come.

If Acura is looking at this as a replacement for their RLX "flagship", all I have to say is this is a MASSIVE upgrade and truly flagship worthy. I think they will have to either come up with a new name or bring back the Legend/Vigor nameplate. A second gen RLX will just scream "successor to a bland failure". They have a great basis here for their future design direction, I feel it will be better when it's toned down for production. That interior is great and I love the central screen area. What's kind of bad is that this makes the NSX kind of dated already.

Seems like they just can't get rid of that beak...I don't know the teaser picture showed a lot of promise. But looking at the whole car, it's not terrible but not eye catching to me. Looks like an upgraded Mazda concept..

Precision Crafted Performance. It’s what we think, feel, love, fail, dream, shout, and lose sleep about. It’s why we build cars like the ILX, TLX, RDX, RLX, MDX, and NSX. It’s our point of view, and it’s time we shared it.

It tells you a lot about the state of Acura's design when a production LC looks better (and more futuristic) than their concept.
