Infiniti Q50 thread

Well the Q50 has actually been doing fine as of late. The Q30/QX30, QX50, and QX70 are going to bring the real added help, imo. The Q60 will be nice for looks but since it's a coupe there won't be a dramatic uptick in the overall bottom line.

And with 2016 a big product launch year for them, they're really in a great position.

To be fair though I do see a good many of the Lexus GX around, and Lexus probably sells more RX350's than all the other players in that segment combined.

i've noticed that they've sold a lot of big suv's, the qx56(qx70 now???) and the smaller 3 row crossover, i see them quite a bit. I know i see that big ugly qx56 around a lot more than the lexus lx570, not to mention how infiniti is just crushing lexus in that 3 row crossover suv segment lol.

Lets hope new models prove a hit for them.

New 2016 Infiniti Q50 400hp Red Sport $45,000.....thoughts?
Noticed that these seem very competitively priced at $45,000 brand new 2016. 400hp 350ft/tq. How do you think this stacks up vs the ISF?
I imagine these will have great results from breather mods.

Thoughts?...none really.
ISF was purpose built and engineered on a race track. Q50, not. Same with the Infinite M56, which had 420hp...to true performance enthusiasts, nobody really cared or took them seriously.

I like that Infiniti is trying to rework its image. I really thought the Infiniti IPL was a dumb idea, given that the "I" in IPL also stands for Infiniti. Secondly, I was more hopeful about the Eau Rogue, essentially a 4 door GTR. But to have this variant of the Q50 (don't get me started about why they changed from G to Q for no good reason) isn't bad at all. At least they're trying over. 400HP and 350TQ is quite the power bump over their current offerings...but that was essentially the IS F eight years ago. Infiniti does have some really nice interiors and I'm sure the note those exhaust sounds emitted upon startup will be music to many people's ears, but it's not as balanced as the IS F overall, I think. From reading the info on it, I can see it competing against the likes of the M-sport, AMG-sport, and the likes.

I had a 2014 Q50 before my ISF. Loved the engine, hated everything else. The frozen infotainment, the pleather seats, the handling, the quality of material. Not to mention that it had less than stellar reviews from Consumer Report about quality and reliability. I did like the front facial though.

However, I don't want a twin-turbo V6, nor do I want it from a brand that for all intents and purposes has no cachet, history, or pedigree...and whose value drops like a rock.

Last month in Infiniti of Riverside they had deals on new 2014s yes 2014s. Still unsold on lots one of them was a 249 a month lease deal on the Q50. If you want a steal go check them out at this dealer . I can't even imagine resale on a new 2014 at this point being 2 years old .
