Lease Question ref. Swapalease/Nationwide
I was searching lease sites and came across Swapalease and a Nationwide Leasing Company out of Miami. I noted they offered 2015 GS350's as low as 404 a month with mileage options as follows: 10,000 miles/year=$418.00/month * * * 12,000 miles/year=$431.00/month * * * 15,000 miles/year= $459.00/month. What is the deal with the company? Anyone use them and how far off are they from your local Lexus dealers? The deal sounds pretty good if you don't have to put down a ton of money. Thanks.

As far as their leasing offers, they have brokers throwing out pricing to entice you, just like any internet sales department. Just be weary of the whole situation and fees involved.

Taking on an existing Lexus lease take about three weeks. First the original lease person needs to request a finance form from Toyota/Lexus financial. The person who is going to take over the lease has to fill out. Once submitted to Lexus financial it takes another week (five working days at best) to approve. Then Lexus forwards a package of forms to be filled out by the person currently holding the lease and the person taking over the lease. In the form includes DMV paperwork. Once the forms are filled and submitted to Lexus, approval can take up to two to three weeks. It's at that time the person taking over the lease has to pay 300 dollars for processing fees. Lexus reports it can take up to 60 days. However, if one the person taking over the lease has good credit and makes a few calls during the approval process you are looking at 3 weeks. I know because I was going to take over a 2015 GS 350 F-Sport lease. Instead I got into a new one. My first MBZ E-Class lease I took it over from somebody who wanted a larger benz. The swap took about two weeks (FEDEX and notarized forms) and a about $600 dollars for processing. The 2012 MBZ E-Class lease with nothing down for 24 months at 12K a year only cost $399 a month less tax. Taking over a lease is a good deal as long as the original owner took good care of the car. The problem I see with Swaplease.com is that most people are paying way too much for their lease and have to get out of it. About three years ago there were deals to be made but not anymore. Try leasetrader.com there are still some deals to be had.
