I don't think Lexus would introduce two versions of the same model in a row. The headlights look quite different from the style of the GS/LF-Gh. The sharper details and the size of the wheels lead me to believe it's a sports model, either the rumored SC concept or the Lexus IS-C.

Front tires are 265/21s up front and look how thin that fender is....I am betting some sort of coupe...
LFA II (highly doubt this)
SC coupe (good possibility)
GS coupe (strong possibility as Lexus has commented on this as of late)
FT based coupe (I don't think anyone has heard anything about this so its just a possibility based on the new vehicle for Toyota/Scion/Subie)
I doubt it would be an IS coupe yet but may show design language on the future IS coupe

but imagine V8 FT86 in Lexus form... :-)

We can't see much, but those are some very aggressive lines. That kind of rake in the front has to be a coupe. I think SC is most probable

It looks more like a sports car from that nose, I would not be surprised if it is something based on the FT-86 platform. The front looks a little too aggressive to be a SC or GS coupe unless they are doing something more like the Mercedes SL and have it 2 seat only. I highly doubt it would be a less expensive version of the LFA, it would still be very expensive considering how much the LFA is and how much the platform is.
It is interesting and unexpected, I don't remember reading anything about a Lexus sportscar or low slung coupe. Hope it makes it to production. Something based on the FT-86 would be a no brainer considering how much they spent on developing it and it only being a single model sold by two brands for now.

911 competitor loosely based on 86? After all, 86 has Lexus IS transmissions, driveshaft, putting in V6/V8 should not be big task... make it slightly bigger, wider, use more aluminium and cf everywhere, and you get yourself little 911 competition going on.

265/35/21 Tires. Talk about odd sized! LOL

I am betting al the SC all the way
The glimpse shot has incredible details
The GS prototype has far less detail than this so how would it make sense that they put so much more into the next IS that slots below the GS
Also, there is a gaping hole in the line up where the SC was so why would they communicate an IS replacement prior to the SC

Its pretty clear that this a FT 86 Lexus version. The IS coupe/convertible is nothing to write home about and Lexus has been lowering their price point.
I predict that this is a hybrid FT86 Lexus model.
What nobody mentions is that Calty designed it.
