I thought the hybrid was going to have more power.
Jill, I believe the positioning is going to be about the experience
As A Q50 owner, the Q60 interior will hold no candle in terms of volume of leather and specialness to the LC
the LC back seat also looks nearly useless so this will be more suited to week end getaways in wine country
the V8 has plenty of power for the category
i have to believe the hybrid will have thin sales numbers
let's just take the car as a starting point with more iterations to come

The hybrid certainly won't sell at 100K, the V8 version won't sell at 100K. I really hope they are realistic with the pricing of this car.

i think lexus is learning it's not easy to break into the 'six figure' market. the german brands (b/m/a/p) have been at it a loooong time.

watched some of the c&c video... impeccable details and very luxurious.
and no leather shifter boot.

Proportionally the world market share for Lexus vs US market share is growing. The hybrid, whatever the performance (or lack of), appeals to world consumers who like the 'looks fast but goes adequate' doctrine.

After viewing the video, it barely has the look of a $100k car. However, I think Lexus could have done a little more business and profit here by toning it down slightly and offering it for $70k. That would have been a sweet spot more people could access, thereby getting more of them on the road and getting the Lexus name spread further. I believe the same thing should have been the case with the LFA, which Lexus w**r*d and sold so few, no one got to see them on the road.
By the way, those exterior door handles do not seem easier to use than today's traditional units. There shouldn't be several steps to open any door. Maybe there's a method to it not shown here, so I'll reserve judgement.
