Without seeing the earlier clips, truck merged into bmw's lane.

I've had my fair share of run-ins with bmws, but damn, truck passenger is one classy gal.

I have a feeling the quarrel started before they came to a stop. Probably some road rage and then the bmw purposely stopped with such a large gap to annoying the truck. The truck then decided to go around him. This explains why the bmw moved up just as the truck came in.

Don't you love living in america, when trucks have the "right of way" even when most of them probably got their license in a cracker jack box?

I also want to know why they left a HUGE gap like that? As others have mentioned notice how QUICKLY he moves the second you see the truck next to him. They cut out what happened before in this video. I want the whole story. There is no reason to leave such a huge gap between your car and the car ahead of you.

Not defending the bmw, but i see alot of people leaving huge gaps in traffic all the time, but no one ever tries to cut in..

Why not? Again we don't know anything that happened before this clip. BMW might've cut the truck off then to spite them blocked them from being able to pass them to **** the trucker off. Someone in the left turn lane may have turned and opened up a spot for the truck to try and pass the BMW (Not saying it's right), and the BMW quickly tried to close the gap so the truck couldn't get ahead of them.

There are two sides to every story, and we're missing a side here.

I've been guilty of cutting in before. But there is also a reasonable gap and a 4-5 car gap. This was clearly the latter. For a driver who sounds so young, I don't see what possible reason he had to leave such a huge gap.

Because, there is no law that says somebody can only leave a certain amount of space between themselves and the car in front of them. If the truck passed them to take up that space, they merged into the BMW's lane which caused an accident.

You don't get a pass on the law for "revenge" for being cut off or whatever.

It's always white trash. I had a situation last friday where a guy cut me off like that(but we didn't hit). He jumped out of his car and yelled at me, and was doing weird trashy hand gestures like this woman was(the part where she was acting like a 4 year old). I was as confused as I was concerned for my safety. Fortunately it deescalated before I needed to draw my gun.

the left turn lane is a dedicated lane, once you are in it you are not legally allowed to exit it to the right in 46 of 50 states. You must complete the left turn.


the woman wasn't driving unless that Ford is a Right hand drive, so the woman is not at fault, whoever was driving is. But that woman was on something.


as for the gap, no law that states how far you are required to be at a signal or stop sign, but leaving the gap that wide is rude, and it also may cause issues with the signal timing.


most intersections have a signal loop system that determines if a vehicle is sitting at the light in order to change the light timing at the intersection, so if there is no traffic on the cross street then a given signal may stay green longer, or indefinitely during certain times of the day.


large intersections like that one usually have a multi-loop system that detects multiple vehicles, leaving the gap open like that means 1. the red light will stay red longer and 2. the green will actually be shorter not allowing all the traffic to get through the intersection.




while the truck is at fault the dashcam guy is a whining idiot as well.
