Seattle International Auto Show and some thoughts
Went to Seattle Auto Show yesterday to check out the new 2016 RX. I'm not sold on the new giant X shaped grill, old style seat power switch just like on the 2005 Camry and same 3.5 liters power plan, the fog lamps is not projector style, faux leather.....
But I'm really disappointed that all Toyota, Lexus, Scion display in the show had all the shift ****, volume ***** and removable things inside removed. It's really sad that they look down on viewers: potential customers while other makers did nothing like that.
My next car won't be Lexus for sure, I checked out the Volvo XC90 and it's really interesting, also the Benz S550 are truly luxury.
Audi, BMW, Benz and even Volvo all have very high tech looking head lamps, tail lamps and other advanced safety features. Volvo built very solid, you can knock on sheet metal and it won't even flex.
Took some pictures and hope you guys enjoy it.

That vehicle should have leather not nuluxe.
Anyways, I don't blame them for removing that stuff. People steal things. Anyways Lexus doesn't put on those displays at regional shows, the dealer association does.

Nice pictures onexcite! Thanks for sharing your thoughts too.
Would you happen to have any detailed/closeup shots of the other vehicles/SUV's that you liked from the show? Would be nice for comparison purposes.
Until Lexus decided to upgrade their engine (specially the inefficient V6) & devote resources on doing some major tech improvements, I also doing see myself staying within Lexus (even though I love the reliability!).

Only the seat surface is leather, the dash, arm rest, door handle all are faux leather.
I understand people steal things but none of other makers removed anything like that, Hyundai, Acura, Benz they leave the map memory card in the unit so people can play all the features while Lexus and Toyota navigation screen only display checking map data.... What a shame on Lexus! Also they have brochures but if you want one you'll have to ask and put your name and email down for it. Even Jaguar, Maserati have all ***** intact.
