I was coming back from visiting some friends some 40~ miles away and in typical 2AM+ fashion I was going a few clicks over the speed limit, and was pretty annoyed at what seemed to be a small truck/cuv just on my tail even as I made lane changes.
Deliberately pulled ahead and let it pass.....and it was a Prius.
Every single time I've felt the need to pull out of the way for somebody here in Socal, it's been for a Prius---or a Leaf.

LMAO!! I have encountered these types, going 80-90 on the hwy and won't move over and even taunting me, LOL.. as soon as I see a Gap from where it switches from 2 to 3 lanes for a mile. I would blow by them like they were sitting still from 90-130 mph.. V8 Baby.. A Prius can't keep up with V8 GS.. I had no problems taking a Prius ever..

It's funny that a Prius take off ahead of me in a red light just a couple days ago. I did a double take and thought that was odd And it didn't need to merge into another lane either, just drives straight. I drive the IS350 and normally go to about 2500 - 3000 RPM from stop so I generally pull ahead of most cars ...

I don't get why those Prius always keep in the fast lane doing 60mph and I can't get pass it since other lanes where full of cars too. Don't they know they should move over to let faster cars pass? Hell I drive fast cars and I move to the right whenever I see cars coming from behind doing faster than I am!!!!

Thats probably true but I also heard Prius gets terrible Mpgs if they go over 80, like it starts to plummet in 30's mpgs. Most Prius i seen were going like 90 and were driving like an asshat (pretty arrogant) that nobody shall dare pass them as they command the road.
Even when I go 80-85, and i see someone coming up on me fast, I move over and let them by.. Some of these Prius people think other cars don't have the ability to pass them so they just owned the Left lane. Big mistake when they encounter one of us..

you have to feel morally superior and angry to drive a car like (and ugly as) a prius and so you take it out on everyone else by driving fast but still feeling smug that you're getting better mpgs than others and saving the planet unlike the rest of the unwashed proletariat.

I dunno, I kinda like the styling of the Prius. Yes the name is synonymous with tree hugging hippies, but the car itself is not bad? Styling imo is 'fine' (it's not a sports car and doesn't pretend to be one). It's an A-B car that does what it's expected to, give you good gas mileage and look decent doing it. If you want a fuel efficient or different car altogether, get a Tesla.....
Side note, that South Park episode was hilarious.
