I don't know why, when I am looking at this car I am thinking of Tommy Kaira.

[UPDATE]: Actually it looks like a 2007 Daihatsu Copen

This is awesome! I was just reading about this on WCF. Nice to have another option for an inexpensive, new, and fun FR car.

I agree, it does look production ready.

It's going 67 mph and no one is even driving it! I gotta get me one of these!

I like the looks if I'm being honest. Super cool.

Is this a Miata and Mini fighter?

Looks good but if GT86 has such an anemic engine I can only imagine how much this is going to be downscaled.

Definitely a Miata fighter, and don't insult it by calling it a MINI (FWD) fighter

Official specs are:
- 4m lenght
- 2480mm wheelbase
- 4 seats!

Jalopnik rumors:
- 1.5l engine with 130hp
- 2160lbs weight

About Yaris sized, less weight though... if 2160lbs is true, then it is 180lbs lighter than Miata, with 2 more seats and rwd.

(yeah, it is FR obviously, thanks blacksc400)

Pretty sure it's front engine not rear.

I cant believe that's a Toyota, with what's going to be an inline 4 cylinder rear wheel drive setup. I hate it and I like it at the same time.

They should stuff the IS200t engine in there. That would make for a awesome little car.

Is it weird that I'm a guy and I find it adorable and cute? Might look more menacing in black though. At least give it a proper lively engine to keep up with its exterior appearances. That buldge could suggest clearance for a small turbo. A turbo 1L 4cyl engine would give it some nice torquey pep and keep it lightweight.
