Lexus Creates Video Looking at the History of F
To celebrate the history of F and look at the progress of the badge so far, Lexus has created a great little two minute video.

Any info on that first gen IS "F" prototype?? That looked awesome! Big brakes and wider/vented front fenders...im curious what is under the hood. Wish there was more of it in the video

Perhaps they should go back to the 1990's and include a homage to great high performance models they never brought to the states, aka the turbocharged Soarer and Aristo. Those are the grandaddy's of today's F cars, and with about $3,000 worth of modifications they'll run circles around the new 2016 F cars.
Those cars were the world beaters back in the day, they were the fastest and most technologically advanced luxury cars you could buy if you didn't live in the United States. They weren't 2nd rate to an AMG Benz, Audi, or M series BMW like the current Lexus F cars.

I was thrilled to see the first gen IS featured so prominently in the video..paying homage to the origins of sporting pretenses for the Lexus brand. Looks like it was what the L-Tuned should have been.
It may not be an AMG, M or RS, but I think "F" is coming onto its own in terms of recognition. Maybe slapping the badge on every other IS, RX and now NX is doing it some favors (or disservice...?).

Its not up until twenty years later that BMW comes up with twin turbo (made by Japanese) that it became a new awesome trend. Its not up until Porsche makes active exhaust that its an awesome feature but when Mitsubishi had it twenty years before that it was an unnecessary feature. And so on!
