Does anyone have GWC extended warranty? Whats your experience?
Im thinking of buying this used 2003 sc 430 it has a 3 mo powertrain warranty but the dealership offered me GWC exclusionary (bumper to bumper factory warranty) for 3yrs or 38500 for $2400. is it worth it? how hard is a claim. the car has been in a garage for 2 yrs (due to the owners death) will they try to use that as an excuse not to fix things by saying 'over time' it couldve happened therefore denying my claim. i know extended warranties can be tricky or useless and im a female.....potentially clueless to these things. i have a rx 300 (2003) and had an extended on it (diff company) that i never had to use....Never had an issue to this day (2007000 miles) i stand by the brand but idk. it was well taken care of by the owner according to the carfax and i called the shop he religiously took it to (i saw the name on the carfax and called (a toyota dealership shop)) the gentleman knew excactly which car i was speaking of which is how i learned the history of the guys death and he swore by it and said i was lucky to have it. he has never seen any issues with this car over the ten years that the gentleman had it....

Norrmally I would recommend taking it to a Lexus dealer for a PPI (pre purchase inspection), but its seems as tho it was maintained well...maybe that toyota dealer has a complete list of service records they could give you?
just the little I read about GWC I would pass --- take the $2400 you would pay for the warranty and put it in a separate savings account if ever needed for repairs.
