Default Bought a Battery Jumper "Box"

I've got a 2010 LS 460. Bought it a few months ago, CPO and the Lexus brand battery tested bad at time of delivery. It was only 6 weeks old and sat in the dealers lot. There've been enough posts to make me cautious about the Lexus batteries. So I did some research and shopping. There're plenty of jumper packs to choose from including pocket sized units. I chose a traditional type unit with a 22ah sealed lead acid battery because of the V8 high compression engine. Most units offer 18ah.
It's a Schumacher PSJ-2212, $134.99 at JB Tool Sales, no tax, free shipping. 50" 4ga. cables and a built in charger. While I haven't used it yet (and may never) I wanted to share what I felt was a good price on a quality unit. I've always carried cables in the past but realized their limitations when parked nose in as I usually do.

I have one in every car of mine, although I now use lithium jump starters instead of lead acid. Cuts down on the size/weight and are equally effective. The PSJ-2212 is a huge unit though... if it doesn't jump start the car, then rest assured it's not the car's battery that's the problem.

I looked long and hard at the lithium units. I wasn't convinced they could handle the load of the 4.6 plus the concern of lithium battery swelling in the Fla heat. With the LS's big trunk, size/weight isn't an issue IMO.

I carry a Juno Jumper in my car. Won't do an LS but it'll handle up to 3.5L engines

I have this one in my Honda. Used it to jump start my coworker's Subaru and it worked flawlessly. I like the clamps compared to all the other units out there. It's much sturdier and you know it won't break on you. I also have a Schumacher SL1 which runs on LifePO4 cells. It's a larger unit compared to the NOCO GB30, but it does have nice features.

The largest engine I've jumped with the GB30 unit was a 5.3L V8 Tahoe.
