I don't get why Mercedes is cheapening their brand so much. This looks like a shrunken S-Class coupe. I know Mercedes is trying to use this to their advantage to spur sales, but it cheapens the brand IMO. Should be nicknamed the poor mans S-Class coupe.

I absolutely love this design. MB has really grown on me. Is the 4 banger no turbo? It looks like it makes more power than the Lexus 2.0 turbo that is turbo.

Every C class since the first gen looks like a shrunken S class. It didn't hurt their image in the 90's and 2000's, why would it hurt it now?

Completely agreed, its a nice cohesive design, and the design seems to scale down better than the sedan did.

As previously reported, the C300 coupe features the same engine as the base sedan. That is a 2.0-liter, turbocharged inline-four engine delivering 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.

In the IS, the Lexus 2.0 turbo makes 241 horsepower, and 258 lb-ft of torque.

If you think a 95 C-Class looks like a 95 S-Class, you might want to visit your optometrist . Same goes for the 02 C-Class/02 S-Class and 08 C-Class/08 S-Class. They look vastly different IMO. It wasn't until the newest C-Class did they look very similar.

I'm perfectly ok with trickle down design.
S class inspiring design of C class is ok.

The other way around however... sucks.

I don't see how anybody with a straight face can say this thing isn't gorgeous...let alone to call it "ugly"?!?!?

No accounting for taste I suppose lol

Well, I can generally agree from a free-flowing styling point of view. But, sometimes car-buyers have to decide what's more important......looking at their cars, or looking out of them LOL.

Agreed that every C class has looked like a shrunken S class. Only the E class really took out as something different but now it too looks like a blend between the S and the C lol

I think it may be you who needs to visit the optometrist. The C-class has always resembled the S-class, even when it was called the 190E.

To be fair, the E-class really only started deviating when the '96 E-class came to the scene. I'll miss that differentiation. The W124 and before models were much more similar to the C and S-class.

just as everyone was moving away from the waterfall center stack, Merc brings it back.

It's like Merc is saying F U all.
