If someone offered me bigger parking spaces for being a guy, I'd say sign me up!

Women do most of the shopping, right? Those with children in car seats can be difficult to get in and out of car seat(s) with ever shrinking car slots. My wife wont let me get anything bigger than an Explorer partly for this reason. Door dings, etc. She lets my daughter enter through the back and climb to the second row because of it. You can park far away from everyone and magically find someone felt the need to park closely to you. Maybe call it "women with kid(s) parking?"

Bigger spaces are a good idea across the board, not just for women. I like the chivalrous reference. Sexist? Not really. But 30%? Might be overkill

I just wish they would don't his at college campuses. I've lost count on the women being raped here at the university due to poor lighting. Many universities refuse to keep track of such things or at least they did when I went. I always would volunteer to walk the ladies to their car after night classes.

And how does one actually ticket someone for parking in the wrong "sex" space? I mean, does the cop have to figure out Miata means woman, and Corvette means dude ? LOL

I think there's a difference between being chivalrous - i.e., being polite, thoughtful, and accommodating to a significant other or on date night - and being patronizing. Especially when it could be construed as a judgment on one's ability to operate a vehicle.

There is a fact that vehicles have generally grown over time, and families (yes, not just women) will require a bit more space to load and unload their vehicles. But maybe it should be framed as such and not centered around women.
