Default $2600 rims on a leased car

So I have this friend who just bought $2600 vossen rims in red! Like the title says it for a leased Q50, the same friend also spent close to a thousand dollars on his exhaust system and body kits again all for a leased car.

That seems like way too much money for those.

Value.

If he values it that much, then it's his choice. It's his money.

Hopefully, if he spends that much on frivolous things, I hope he also finds some spare cash for philanthropic causes.

Some people who mod a lease remove them before returning the car.

yeah...its not like he has to turn the mods in when he turns the car in. i dont really see the big deal.

should you tint the windows on a leased car? how bout spend a $1000-1500 on a clear bra or CQuartz/Opti-Coat? hell...since its a leased car...why even wash it???

Don't see any issue with $2600 wheel on a leased car. They are stuck with it for 2~3 year, they just want it to be a little more personal. Further more, they are removable and they can part out or keep it for the next car.

I have modded most of my leased cars with no issue.

Just remove the parts and sell them when lease expires.
Move on to next project.

I imagine the process is the same if you owned the car and parted it prior to selling it in stock form.

it's his money, he can do whatever he wants with it. with that said, i'm not a big fan of neither Vossen wheels (heavy as hell) nor Infiniti cars, definitely not when combining the two

Yeah they increased their prices, 2400~2600 is about what they go for now. Their flow forged wheels are obviously a bit more.

Vossen wheel looks nice and yes they are heavy. Its more for look than performance. Heck, looking good is the priority!!

I think the problem is OP not quite get why people want to spend extra $$$ on a leased car. Many people still have the logic that leasing is a option for people can't afford to purchase. Just like people renting house because they can't afford to buy.
