Default Lexus ES250 TV Commercial

While vacationing in Europe last month we happened upon the filming of a commercial in Budapest. It was interesting to watch. The street was cleared and then the car "drove" down the street.

I don't think we will be seeing this commercial for a ES250 airing in the US anytime soon!

That's pretty cool, though when I clicked on the thread I was expecting to see a youtube video of an ES250 commercial from 1989...

They just let everybody and anybody stand by and watch, and take pictures?

Was it a 2015 model or the facelifted 2016 model?

Looks like the new headlights/taillights, so I think it's a '16.

I'm not familiar with that Lexus engine, but with the NX 2.0T, I have to believe that there is an ES 2.0T somewhere in the relatively near future. All the German makes offer similar sized engines - even in mid-sized sedans like the 528i.

Worked for the IS.

Why not the more homely ES?

We know there's an ES 200 with a n/a 2L 4 cyl.

Anyone know what's underneath the 250? I bet it's a n/a 2.5L 4 cyl version of the possibly upcoming turbo version of that engine in the next LS 250t : https://lexusenthusiast.com/2015/07/...-turbo-engine/

Never say never. Some of the ES competitors, right here in the U.S., are already running smaller engines than that.....2.0L turbo power plants. Might eventually come to the ES itself.
