So I've decided on the Mazda, and its been a frustrating experience. I've sourced 6 dealers around the province including one bozo salesman who said my offer of 5% over invoice wasn't "serious" and also that it was illegal to sell a car without a block heater. 
But, I've finally got a price I can live with. Now just have to choose the colour and should pick it up in 1 - 2 weeks.

Well, for being weird and/or dull and boring, both the RAV-4 and Outback certainly appeal to (and please) a whole lot of owners. Their sales figures alone (and those of the competing Honda CR-V) prove that.
Having said that, though, I agree with the choice of the CX-5 if a slightly more driver-centered experience in handling/steering-response is desired....though the CX-5 may not (?) have quite the same reliability as its competition.

Ordinarily I'd say go with the Outback, as it is clearly the most carlike in its road manners and the most pleasant in drive, though the CX-5 is not bad either by crossover SUV standards. But, Subaru 2.0L and 2.5L non-turbo engines have had recent (2010-2014) issues with piston-ring durability and more-than-average oil consumption. If you want to take a chance, though, that those issues have been resolved for 2015-2016, and otherwise like the Outback, give it a look.

Very nice. The Mazda you bought is a far superior vehicle compared to the other two. Also, I really like the looks. The RAV4 is brutal IMO.
I'm Canada Mazda offers an unlimited miles warranty for 3 years at no cost. Do you have that where you are located?

Congrats though, the. Cx-5 is really fun to drive and has a beatiful interior.

Great looking car there, I like that bold face and the wheel option.
As for reliability, the 1st gen CX-5 had a problem with catastrophic engine failure. Not sure what years it affected, but resale on a used CX-5 is brutal. I doubt that you'll encounter any problems like that since the 2nd gen model uses a totally different motor, and with that one exception, Mazda does build very reliable cars.
