This is one car that would look good with a floating roof. Cant believe that didn't make it into production here, and it did on the RX

It feels like the roof and the side were "flattened" relative to the LF-LC

All the detail toward the bottom of the side is gone.

The air intake for the rear brakes detail behind the door has been attenuated big time

The way the hood sloped up all the way to the windshield has also been cut down

The rear end seems to be the most true to the original.

I'm not seeing definitive evidence in those shots that the floating roof has been scrapped.

Seems like the car has grown longer and therefore is more stretched at the roofline.

In any case this promises to be one of the finest luxury coupes money can buy.

If you look closely the rear window shape is defined by masking to create the frame like trim around the glass and you can tell where glass and metal meets.

You are right on the car being longer then concept and hence featuring squished roofline instead of a fine slope of a concept. It's no 90 percent of the designed like they claim but its 70-75 which is still good for Toyota.

Thats a pretty big assumption, for all we know its just taping nothing to give you the illusion that there is a line.

The Smoking Tire's Matt Farah just spotted what appears to be a prototype of the Lexus LF LC.

^Not a fan of the new headlight shape, which looks like a Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Hopefully it'll turn out better when the camo is off. I'm sure the spindle grille will be there though.

So far out is a production model once prototypes like this hit the road?

No worries those headlight clusters have some padding under the camo which gives you a notion of Hyundai Coupe headlights but in reality they will be something like on RC

Profile is gorgeous, you can see the original SC400 spirit in this car, both designed by CALTY.

Bring it on! I've wanted an SC replacement for years and my S5 is the closest I've found. I'm just not feeling the RC AT ALL and would really like for Lexus to bring a coupe that isn't boy racer to market.

this design even under camo appears elegant, curvy, and subtle. wonder how they square that with giant grilles, knife edges and bold creases on vehicles like nx and new rx?
