Anyone cross shopped ES350 with Acura TLX?

No surprise from C&D. Honda and Acura have long been known to be favourites of C&D, while Toyota and Lexus are quite disfavoured.
How many Mid-Sized Luxury cars did C&D sample? Which came in last place (and what numbered place)? Which came in first place? Merely quoting #12 for the ES and #7 for the TLX is taking things out of context.

C&D can rate all they want.
After using both cars the way we normally would, the ES won.
There are pros and cons for each but the wife and I both felt the ES was best for our situation.
if I'm ever bored from driving the ES I'll just go for a drive in my g37

If you're a glutton for punishment like me, get the Starfire Pearl with the black/gray interior. It looks stunning at sunset after a wash. In winter, don't ask - dirt stripes on the outside, handprints and shoe prints on the inside, with every speck of dust visible. But it looks so good when it's clean...

The Starfire is gorgeous when clean in the sun. The TLX loaner we have is Acura's "pearl" white and once it went thru the rain, any dirt/dust that was hidden in a nook and cranny (the usual suspects: mirrors, door handles) became a "free racing stripe".

One last update -
Just signed the paperwork for a 2015 Atomic Silver on Black ES350 Ultra Lux with Lane Departure, Pre-Collision, Mark Lev and Z2 (and the stuff that seems to be standard but not included in the package on the Ultra Lux: 18" wheels, etc)
My local dealer has to get it 250 miles away, but it should be here this week.

Ideally the TLX competes with the IS, 3 series, ATS, C class and S60. Not really in the same class of car as the ES.

Other than the RLX (which I think everyone but Honda/Acura admits is a failure), they dont have anything to compete with the Maxima, Avalon, ES, etc size/purpose cars
And while the TLX is nice, I dont think it competes that well with the IS either. I definitely came away feeling that the TLX is "not a TSX but not a TL either". I think they really need something between the TLX and RLX.
When I returned the loaner my salesman didnt really seem surprised when I said "its not like the TL we want"
