Facelifted LX570 / Land Cruiser

Excellent work, as it gives us a better perspective of the rear. Those silver prototype photos were very misleading in terms of taillights, as elements of them and chrome accenting blended in too much. I initially was not able to tell they were L-shaped.
Good to see a mid-grade offering, but I really do not like the way the dash looks on this GX-R. Probably better to see in person. Thanks!
Just wonderful! I initially did not like the seat design, but it is very purposeful and looks much better in subsequent photos. I really like that sketch, as if that was my first sight of the updated LX, I would think it was a 300 and not a 200. Toyota spent a fortune on this clearly, which is why it needs 3.5 to 4 years.
If anything does change, we are not really at fault nor "incorrect", as sometimes unforeseen delays do occur and what we've said now about 300, is what is accurate in the present. The 4th generation LX will likely remain BOF or become monocoque. At this stage, I can only GUESS that they are still designing that and in the concept stage of development, unlike the 300 Land Cruiser (signed-off by now).
The next GX will have to be locked-in this year, in time for a 2017 intro or if not, early 2018.
Not sure how Toyota develops upper-end derivatives at times, as the 1998 LX470 was frozen by the start of 1996, over 18 months after the 1998 Land Cruiser 100 (mid-1994 sign-off). The ED2-designed 120-Series Prado was frozen in early 2000, before launch in late 2002. The GX was styled in Aichi by the end of 2000, but IDK about sign-off.
My point is, how far apart can a new 180-Series Prado be launched from a 3rd generation GX? Product planners had to be caught off-guard during 2014 by the sales improvement on the 2GX facelift (150 Series II), probably having to make very serious decisions (rethinking) lately.
It seems that the next Prado (180) likely requires 36 months (from mid-stage development to production) through 2017, so hopefully a Lexus derivative can shave off development time for a platform variant.
