Default All I Want is OEM Floor Mats

I've been reading on some of the other forums here and for the life of me, cannot figure out where to buy original quality Lexus OEM floor mats. I got one set from a vendor here on this site and they were in Toyota bag looking very authentic. I compared them to the mats I removed from my 430 and they were thin and flimsy compared to what was in my car. Some mats have the pad for your heel at the accelerator, Some have the edges sewn with a narrow lip around the perimeter. Some have a shaggy wide trim edge.

I know you may be thinking just keep ordering till you find the ones like the ones in your car now. Well, that's all good and fine until you see what the shipping costs are to return them

Any suggestions? My nearest dealer is a 3 hour drive but a mans gotta do what a....

There seems to be different qualities of Dealer floor mats. I'm not mentioning names here, but I have ordered what were OEM from a dealer and I received them. Didn't like color and shipped back and the next set, different color, was made entirely different from the other dealer mats. They are not at all like what is in my other Lexi.

It appears different dealers have different OEM mats. I may be wrong.

It look like I'm gonna have to drive to Greensboro or Raleigh.

Do they have the "Toyota Genuine Parts" label/sticker on them? I don't think there are different variations other than potentially model years...

Yes, that's what confuses me. You can look on eBay and Amazon and see Toyota labels and codes but many of them are not the same. I'm guessing different vendors are contracted for certain quantities to make the older mats and different vendors make the mats differently.

Why not just go with WeatherTech?

I have come across many Lexus OEM mats on ebay over the years. Your dealer should be able to get them as well, but may cost a bit more. You can get mats that are pretty plush these days like these:

http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/78A4427A0A0.aspx

But here's a set I just found:

Amazon.com: Toyota Genuine Parts PT208-50010-10 OEM Lexus LS430 Ivory Carpet Floor Mat Set: Automotive Amazon.com: Toyota Genuine Parts PT208-50010-10 OEM Lexus LS430 Ivory Carpet Floor Mat Set: Automotive

Sewell's online store is gone now, but I'm sure he would hook you up. L'tuned parts' site is under construction, but if you shoot them an email I'm sure they have them too.

Maybe they are no longer from Japan. Maybe from ???? that other place just a bit west.
And Its smart to use a mat over the good factory mats if you want to preserve them.

EBay. Various Lexus dealers have always been selling parts on eBay.

i would not recommend that as mats over mats may interfere with the pedals. i take the factory mats out, put them someplace safe, and put in weathertech floorliners. they may be custom molded plastic and not nice carpet, but they're easy to clean, look decent, and catch anything being dragged in.
