Scratching a Lexus loaner?

Scratching a Lexus loaner?
What happens if you scratch a loaner?
Let's say we are talking about a shopping cart hitting one of the doors or someone hitting your door with theirs?
Basically, things that you have no control of. Do these type of scratches fall under the tear and wear?

lol!
If its a minor thing, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I have found actual damage on a loaner under my usage period caused by another vehicle. I reported it to my SA since it was too big to pass as "already there" and he let it slide.

Unfortunately I must admit I've scratched the exterior on one loaner (just a small one) and my dog broke an interior trim piece on another. For those of you who know dogs you can imagine how...exuberant a boxer can be. Never paid for anything even though I owned up on the interior piece.

On a loaner, I wouldn't worry about it. Those things get beat up anyway. I received a MB loaner with a broken trim piece. I reported it to the dealer before driving away. They apologized but didn't care about it, just documented it . If it's something you wouldn't worry about on a lease return, I wouldn't worry about it in a loaner return.
