Default Vintage M-B Forum ?

Sold my old Buick last year, starting to get the itch again.
'71 Skylark 2dr. hardtop, 350-4V & TH350.
Completely original restoration on a completely numbers matching car over my 12 years of ownership. The alternator case, for instance, was stamped 1100869 or similar ( memory fade).
That alt. was '71 Buick only & again, only on cars with AC.Every nut+ bolt on the car was as new.
Factory stock & would bark the tires on the 1-2 shift. Had to start slow, get it rolling before hitting the "GO" pedal, boil the tires off if you didn't. Buyer drove it home 16 hours to Ontario & then took it to Florida as a Summer home vehicle.

Local car for sale looking very attractive:
'65 M-B 230SL Roadster. I-6 & a 4 speed. Car is immaculate, as new. I know the owner well + trust his description. Haven't seen the car in person but may be making a visit on the weekend.
Googled the model/year for different views. Stunning piece of work.

Looking for feed back on these old gems. Quality parts are always an issue at this vintage. Believe the engines are very solid & reliable. I'll be driving it should I acquire it. It won't be a garage queen anymore.

Beautiful car.

Try peachparts.com. They helped when I was looking for a R107 560SL.
