Default Drone and supercars?

Just a random (maybe dumb) question that popped in my head. I've never rode in a supercar or high end exotic (500hp+ stock). Does anyone know if these cars have drone? These cars are extremely loud and I know a lot of the noise comes from the engine, but they also have high performance exhaust systems that contribute to the noise. Is there drone inside the cabin when these cars go through the RPM ranges?

Another question: Does the supercar community even bother with aftermarket bolt on mods?

I can't tell you about the drone but i do know that there is plenty of aftermarket mods for supercars.... a lot of ferrari owners put on aftermarket exhaust and its just like any other car... how much do you want to spend??

Check out this site: http://undergroundracing.com The specialize in turbo kits for lamborghinis,ferraris,R8's,Ford GT's etc... You can drop off your Gallardo and have 700-1750 whp if you've got the cash which I'm assuming can run $100k+ depending on how crazy you get.

They probably do, at least the older ones. Also might explain the reason why they want a convertible and want to drive open top

Any car can drone. It all depends on the engineering put into it. Most manufacturers try to engineer this out of their designs and balance between comfort NVH and performance. More likely in super performance vehicles that don't compromise on performance, this will be in 'issue'. If you row your own, you can minimize this, too.

Putting on an aftermarket exhaust, while maybe getting a few extra controversial ponies, is the best way to introduce drone.
