damning with faint praise. they've been slowly improving the nvh of their vehicles. wouldn't be surprised if this '16 is quieter/smoother.

so for doing something awesome you're criticizing them? i think a new avalon has most everything an es350 has too...

just means acura will have to do something else to step up the game.

The Avalon and ES have very different lights

Especially the existing model, which is noticeably stiffer than its predecessor.

It's ruined. Adding the lamented Acura shield to the grille will be a decision I will never understand. The pic above isn't so bad, but Honda's press release reveals the choked grille look.

That's quite a mess up front. Now you can really say the RLX looks like an Accord.

That looks terrible. It's got that ugly Acura front end.

Omg why oh why does Honda have to put an Acura beak on an Accord? After years and years of lack luster sales of Acuras and people bashing that beak on forums and they still put one on the Accord. Its fugly as heck. It seem as if every car manufactuer want to out compete each other for the worlds ugliest grill. Heck i am still trying to warm up to Lexus and Toyotas predator grills. At lease the Germans still make nice front ends.

Its really not that bad, and I'm pretty Critical of new designs. The "Beakish" front grill isn't that pronounce if you look at the car without focusing directly on the Chrome Grille. Yea, If you concentrate your focus on the grill yea, its going to be ugly. But you can always paint the Grill to match the car or Vinyl it or Plastic dip it if it bothers you so much. IMO, I don't see the issue.. Its pretty stunning for an Accord.. I see it has a more chiseled look like an E-Class Mercedes..

Acura dealerships were actually doing that as a courtesy, before new-car delivery, at customer request. But I understand they stopped that this year, as it was costing a significant amount in labor and supplies.

Oh, I didn't know they were doing that. I was actually thinking of paying for it out of pocket, it shouldn't cost that much.. but having it Vinyl wrapped or plastic dip would even be cheaper than painting it. If I got one i would probably paint it and then clear bra the whole front including the newly painted grill.

After watching this vid of the refresh - I like the current design much better.

Front has the hideous Acura beak
Rear has very tacky chrome pieces that clutter the design.

the tail light design gives the rear end a tight-*** look.
the current one is more plump looking.

But the front....... such a huge piece of chrome plated plastic should never belong on the front end. That thing will be plastered with rock chips in no time.

If I were shopping this class, I'd still get mazda 6
